A Very Late July Bookhaul!

It has been brought to my attention that I’ve neglected to post my July bookhaul! Whoops. So busy with studying it slipped my mind. Now, this is the smallest one I’ve done. For quite some time and that’s because I’m moving in the new year, and now sure how much room I’ll have!!!!

Without further ado…

Feeling incomplete that I have to be on book-buying restrictions lol.

Happy buying and reading

May E-Book Haul

So if you’ve seen my library, you know that I have a small space to work with and because of that I have to sometimes be selective with hardcopy’s… Nah I just buy ebook’s when i want ROFL. I know that there are a lot of people who just can’t ebooks, and trust me I understand I used to be one of those people. But I saw the light and seriously LOVE IT. Means you can have two libraries!!

Anyway, here’s my May e-book haul.

May Book Haul

That time of the new month, where we go back and have a look at all the books I bought. There were many, which isn’t new!

You may wonder where my addiction started? My parents aren’t readers, however as a two year old, while other little girls were carrying around dolls and teddies I was carry a golden book around 🙂  From that moment on, I’ve loved books.

So without further ado, here’s my stash! I’ll do my May e-book haul shortly.

Coming shortly is the e-book May haul. What was your haul like for May?
Happy reading and buying

April Book Haul WrapUp

A little late, due to study commitments at the moment, but better late than never! 😜 So as usual I went book buying mad, a little more so last month as I’m one of those people that buys books when I stressed, so the more stressed, the more books…

Without further ado…

156 hard copies…🙊 Then there’s the Ebooks… For another day 😉

Happy buying and reading!

So, how’s that new Kindle Oasis…

So the path that led me to my current Kindle Voyage, was a long an arduous one.  I’d previously tried a kindle three times before and just couldn’t get into in.  I was subconsciously blocking the experience but saying to myself, it’s not a book. Nothing beats the smell and feel of a book. I can’t show off my library. It’s not a book. It ain’t no book. I can’t do this… And then I started think think about the real advantages of them.

Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE my library and I’ll never be rid of it, but I started loving the idea of being able to carry a whole library around in my handbag.  I loved the idea of being able to get a book on kindle that is out of print of unavailable in hardcopy… The more I thought about it, the more I realised I really needed to give it a go. So I did.

At the end of 2014, I bought a Paperwhite.  It was hard at first. I couldn’t concentrate

Kindle PaperWhite

when I read off the screen and I stopped after two weeks. Then I reminded myself of the pro’s and got back into it. After about two months, I slowly started coming around. Then at the 6month mark I was almost ready to say that I… Loved. It. Then when the new Voyage came out last year, I jumped at the chance to get it, because if you know me, you’ll know I’m obsessed with technology and feel the constant need to up-date to the most current of everything, LOL.

Kindle Oasis

And now, they’ve announced the release of the fancy new Kindle Oasis.  I have to admit, I’m loving it already and have already pre-ordered! It’s not for everyone, I know that some people have mentioned that it just doesn’t have enough new fandangle bits and pieces to warrant such an expensive price tag. But for me, all those little new bits and pieces add up, I love the thinner design, the charging case, the colors, the new spine-look, the page buttons, the led’s and the rest of it.  I’m definitely sold.

You often come across the memes on instagram and facebook debating which is better, the book or the ebook, and I don’t get why there’s the need for the comparison. Why can’t we love both just as much as each other? They both have their pro’s and con ‘s. Where one can’t do something, the other one allows for it.  There’s most certainly enough love in this bookworms heart and library, for both!!

Last Minute Update: March Book Haul

Seems I was hasty, there are 31 days in March after all 😉 new stack of books bought today (first pic) and some more Ebooks (last two pics).

Yes it’s quiet here at the moment, but certainly not at my desk. I’m almost at mid semester and have assignment upon assignment at the moment. But I still managed to find time to buy books 😜😂😂📚 Here’s my March book haul…

Happy buying and reading 😂

February’s Book Buys

I suspect March will see a difference, as I’m meant to be using books as my semester reward. I’m not sure how well that’ll go though…

Here’s a collage of my February haul 😊

88 hard copies and 9 Ebooks 🙌🏼 They give me such joy 💗

Happy reading and buying 😉

Recent buys

So as usual I’ve purchased up a storm the last two weeks. I’d like to say I can help it, but I’m compulsive. I see or hear about books and I have the ‘must buy books right now’ urge 😂😂😳 Here’s what I’ve bought 😍

And I’m having to buy more shelves on the weekend! 🙌🏼

Happy reading

Christmas Has Been and Gone

It’s such a lead up to Christmas. Probably more so if you have children, because if you’re a parent or around kids often, then you’ll know that to be very true. I’m pretty sure they start asking about next christmas after the one just passed! LOL.

I hope you all had a wonderful christmas with family and friends and hope santa was good to you. If not, then I hope you were good to yourselves and brought lots of new christmas book presents!! I was luck and got some christmas money and brought this little stash.

I love Stephen King’s cover, so bright and colourful. Excited to one day get to Karen Robards books they sound awesome.

I was also lucky enough to receive one of those Fujitsu Instax Mini 8 camera’s, in pink my fav color. Which is fun. I remember the old versions back in the 80’s, not as pretty as the polaroid’s today. LOL

How was your christmas? Feel free to follow me on Facebook or Instagram and share your christmas gifts with me.
